OUR STORY

MICROTECH was established in 1995 in Kharkiv, Ukraine, initially specializing in the production of high-precision drills and supplying instruments to Ukrainian aerospace and military companies. From these beginnings, the company quickly gained a reputation for quality and reliability in demanding industries. Recognizing the growing market need for high-quality measuring instruments, in 2004 MICROTECH expanded its capabilities by founding a dedicated measuring instruments workshop, a service workshop, and its own accredited metrological laboratory.

Over the following five years, the MICROTECH brand became the leading Ukrainian name in measuring instruments, earning multiple honors including repeated recognition among the “100 Best Goods of Ukraine.” The company achieved certification under the ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard through BVQI, while its metrological laboratory obtained accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by ILAC, further reinforcing its commitment to quality and precision.

MICROTECH operates its own specialized workshops equipped with modern machinery, alongside advanced laboratories for rigorous testing and quality assurance. The company also houses a laser engraving department and a dedicated research and development division, enabling continuous innovation and precise customization. To ensure the highest manufacturing standards, MICROTECH collaborates closely with both local and European suppliers for machine parts and electronic components, integrating the best materials and technologies into its products.

The company’s innovative approach has established MICROTECH as a forward-thinking leader in the industry, known for delivering genuinely new and advanced solutions. Its products reach customers worldwide through a network of over 50 active distributors covering all continents, underscoring MICROTECH’s global footprint.

In addition to high-end instruments, MICROTECH produces a wide range of mass-market digital calipers, micrometers, indicators, thickness gauges, and bore gauges that offer excellent price-to-quality ratios. The MICROTECH brand currently commands more than 40% of the Ukrainian measuring instrument market and has significantly increased export sales since 2015, growing export volume by over eight times.

In 2024, MICROTECH expanded further by opening a new office and manufacturing department in Kyiv, which includes a newly established metrological laboratory. This Kyiv laboratory is set to receive ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation in 2025, enhancing the company’s quality assurance infrastructure and service capabilities in the capital region.

In September 2025, MICROTECH became a truly international company with the launch of MICROTECH Europe GmbH in Germany. This subsidiary manages the supply and servicing of MICROTECH instruments to distributors throughout the European Union, providing enhanced customer support and faster delivery, and strengthening MICROTECH’s presence in the global market.
