PRODUCT

The MICRON SwissMet IP67 Digital Caliper is a stainless-steel electronic caliper available in three measuring ranges:

• 0–150 mm / 0–6″ — ±15 μm accuracy, 40/16 mm jaws
• 0–200 mm / 0–8″ — ±15 μm accuracy, 50/17 mm jaws
• 0–300 mm / 0–12″ — ±20 μm accuracy, 60/20 mm jaws

The specified accuracy applies to the external jaws; internal-jaw and depth measurements are specified according to ISO 13385-1.

The measuring system provides 0.001 mm resolution with mm/inch indication and PRESET function. A large display with 12 mm digits operates at a refresh rate above 10 readings per second, while the slider supports speeds up to 2.5 m/s.

The standard caliper has hand-finished stainless-steel measuring surfaces with Ra < 0.32 μm. An optional modification with external ceramic-tipped jaws is available for applications requiring this measuring-contact configuration.

The electronics are protected to IP67 according to IEC 60529. Additional functions include HOLD and automatic ON/OFF. Power is supplied by a 3 V CR2032 battery.

A calibration certificate according to ISO 17025 / ILAC MRA is included.

CONNECTIVITY & DATA

The caliper is equipped with S_connect data output for transferring measurement results from the instrument.

Connection to external equipment is available through the optional S_connect USB data cable.

This allows measured values to be transferred electronically rather than being manually transcribed.

WHAT PROBLEM DOES IT SOLVE?

A conventional 0.01 mm digital caliper may provide insufficient indication when a measurement task requires finer dimensional reading. The 0.001 mm resolution of the MICRON SwissMet IP67 provides a finer digital indication while retaining the familiar caliper format for external, internal and depth measurements.

The PRESET function supports measurements requiring a predefined reference value, while the large display and high refresh rate provide clear, responsive indication during slider movement.

For measurements where a different external contact material is required, the instrument can be supplied with optional external ceramic-tipped jaws instead of relying only on the standard stainless-steel measuring surfaces.

S_connect data output also allows measurement results to be transferred electronically, reducing the need for manual recording.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The operator positions the appropriate measuring surfaces on the feature being inspected: the external jaws for outside dimensions, the internal jaws for inside dimensions, or the depth measuring function for depth measurements.

Moving the slider changes the jaw position, and the electronic measuring system indicates the resulting dimension on the digital display with 0.001 mm resolution.

The PRESET function allows a predefined reference value to be entered when required. Measurement values can also be transmitted through the S_connect output using the optional S_connect USB data cable.

Standard configuration:
Stainless-steel caliper with hand-finished measuring surfaces, 0.001 mm electronic reading system, IP67 protection, PRESET and S_connect data output.

Available ranges:
0–150 mm, 0–200 mm and 0–300 mm.

Optional configuration:
External ceramic-tipped jaws for measurements requiring ceramic external measuring contacts.

Optional interface:
S_connect USB data cable.
